When we praise we raise that is not just a cute phrase.
Praise has the ability to shift the atmosphere and change things in a heavy atmosphere. I encourage you to go on a journey of getting a revelation of praising who our God is.
One of my favourite scriptures and the start of my personal revelation of praise is Isaiah 61:3b. It is not even a full verse, but here it is. “The garment of praise instead of a spirit that is faint”. Other translations say, the garment of praise to break a spirit of heaviness.
Praise is not easy when everything is going wrong there is a wrestle between the flesh and the spirit. It matters most in those dark moments of our life.
Psalm 119:62 ESV
At midnight I rise to praise you, because of your righteous rules.
Hebrews 13:15 ESV
Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.
Psalm 34:3 ESV
Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!
Making the decision to lift up His Name and praise changes our perspective of our situation. We begin to see the size of our God and not our terrible situation.
I encourage you as we sang on Sunday to praise the Father, praise the Son (Jesus), praise the Spirit – Three in One. Praise God for who He is. Watch how faith, hope and an expectation for miracles begin to rise up within you.
Come on !!! Praise God !!!
